AIBIO-UK Survey of Members for EDIA Perspectives

Purpose: To understand the AIBIO UK community's perspectives and needs regarding equality, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA). Community responses will be used to improve our EDIA policy and enhance support for individuals who face barriers to fully engaging with AIBIO UK. Participation is entirely optional, and the form is anonymous; however, any feedback you choose to provide will help strengthen our ongoing EDIA efforts.

Scholarship Request Application

To support individuals with financial need or other barriers that may prevent them from attending the annual meeting, we are offering assistance in a range of circumstances. This includes support for those with caring responsibilities, such as contributions towards the cost of a childminder, after‑school club, or care for another family member. Support is also available for individuals with disabilities or limited mobility who may require additional assistance to attend. In addition, funding can be provided for those who do not have access to sufficient resources for travel or accommodation and who can demonstrate a clear and relevant need to attend the meeting.

 

Funds are available to support attendance for individuals working within the remit of AIBIO‑UK who can demonstrate a clear need for additional financial support and who would otherwise be unable to participate. This includes a one‑night's accommodation  at the preferred meeting hotel.

 

Selection criteria for scholarships: The AIBIO-UK management team will conduct the selection based on the provided reasons/needs and will offer between 10-15 scholarships. We expect scholarship applicants to submit a poster abstract as well. We will be in touch to confirm accepted applicants by Tuesday, the 19th of May, and to provide further details.
