Scottish Research Cultures Showcase - Thurs, 5th March

Mar 05, 2026 | 0900 - 1630

Join us for the flagship event of Research Integrity and Culture Week 2026 - an inspiring, in person celebration and exploration of research cultures across Scotland.

Developed and delivered by our partner institutions and networks, this showcase brings together colleagues from across the sector to explore how we can continue to collectively shape positive, inclusive, and sustainable research cultures.

Throughout the day, there will be opportunity to hear from a diverse range of speakers reflecting on the practical ways their institutions are embedding support for research integrity and cultures. We will hear real examples, emerging ideas, and honest reflections on what it takes to enable our research communities to thrive.

Discussions and sessions will explore themes including: • The ethics and opportunities of AI in research • How SHAPE disciplines might understand open research • Exploring how people at different career stages interact with our research cultures • Considering how shifts in the wider higher education landscape are influencing research cultures

Whether you work in research, professional services, or leadership, this showcase offers space to connect, learn, and share with colleagues shaping research cultures across Scotland.

Please note that this is an in-person event, taking place at Surgeons Quarter, Nicolson Street, Edinburgh.
