Shuttle Bus
A shuttle bus will be provided on Wednesday 26th June, the pick up location is The Sir Duncan Rice Library Car Park (number 9 on Campus Map). The bus will depart just after 6:00 PM and again at 6:20 PM taking attendees to the City Centre (Union Terrace).
About the Dinner & Ceilidh
Delegates will have the opportunity to enjoy a welcome drink, a 3 course Scottish inspired meal, and an evening of Scottish entertainment!
Music will be performed by talented local Scottish musicians, as well as the opportunity to experience traditional Scottish Ceilidh dancing performed by the renowned Ceilidh band, Danse McCabre. Not familiar with what a Scottish Ceilidh entails? Have a read of this guide! Although there is no formal dress code, if you wanted to opt for traditional Scottish Highland Dress, you can hire a kilt or trews from one of Aberdeen's many suppliers.
The Music Hall is Aberdeen's premier concert hall venue, Located in the heart of the city centre. Since 1822 the Music Hall has been the heart of the concert and community life in the North East of Scotland. A celebrated landmark in the city's main thoroughfare of Union Street, the Music Hall is a proud reminder of Aberdeen's most famous architect, Archibald Simpson.The Music Hall re-opened in 2018 having undergone a major redevelopment. It is one of Scotland’s oldest and most historic concert halls. It stands on Union Street in the centre of Aberdeen and has been at the heart of cultural life in the city for nearly 200 years.
